![]() ![]() Hawk's latest formulation for excellent torque control and modulation for wheel-to-wheel competition. SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the aggressive nature of the Hawk Performance Motorsports Compound pads, they are not recommended for street use. Also popular with experienced lapping day and driver school participants. Strong initial bite combines with exceptional pedal feel to give drivers confidence during road racing and stage rally events. Hawk's most popular Motorsport Compound offers excellent modulation and braking power for a wide variety of applications. Warning! Due to the dramatic friction levels produced by this product to achieve "race-level" braking, rotor wear, noise, dust, and pad life may be affected. Worthy for Autocross & Club Racing Events. The Ferro-Carbon formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque values than other competitive materials.Įxtremely high coefficient of friction makes HP Plus the perfect upgrade over stock for high performance streetcars used in autocross competition or that experience repetitive, heavy braking. HP Plus utilizes a unique Ferro-Carbon, high-tech friction material that was developed and manufactured for sport driving in autocross, Solo II and “track day” applications. In a world where cars are getting bigger and faster, Hawk Performance® brake pads are specially engineered to improve upon your OE braking capabilities. Hawk Performance’s HP Plus brake pad compound is ideal for Autocross and Track Day drivers looking for a high performance race compound that can take the heat of the track and get you home safely without having to change the pads. Less fade means you’ll have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. This unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology. Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance’s HPS braking compound. HPS - High Performance Street disc brake pads are world renowned for increasing stopping power on your street legal vehicle. Zimmerman blanks are an awesome rotor options.HPS - High Performance Street Brake Compound They are not as grabby but they will bite fine panic stopping on a cold pad and rotor. Hawk Performance brake products are designed to handle higher temperatures. I just did some threshold braking yesterday from 130mph down to 20mph (not calm braking but abs inducing braking) and zero issues at all from these pads. Once warm, these things grip pretty good. Hawks HPS Street Brake Pads are highly regarded for their ability to increase the stopping power of your street car. Thanks for reading!I already replied earlier in this thread, but on the HPS 5.0 I can go two weeks without noticing much brake dust, the squeaking went away after about a week and proper bed in procedures, and I much prefer the linear braking of this pad over the stock with the crazy initial bite. I could do with less initial bite than the OEM but I don't want to sacrifice too much immediate stopping power. I do NOT want squealing on my brand new brakes and rotors! I'm looking for a good mix of performance and practicality without too much noise and brake dust hopefully. I'm looking at either Zimmerman or Meyle most likely (again, open to other suggestions as well). They don't offer any benefit right? Seems like flat face is the most practical and also least likely to cause squealing. I don't think I want slotted or dimpled or anything. This is my daily driver and I don't plan on hitting the track with these brakes so I am most concerned with everyday performance. Resurrecting this thread because I am considering the Hawk HPS 5.0. ![]()
